Co-Founders of myNiagara Online – a community platform aimed at engaging the local community to shop, live and play locally – local networks include myPelham.com and myWelland.com. This innovative marketing of our local community provides us with an incredibly deep  understanding of our local marketplace and serves to attract potential Buyers who are researching a move to our area.

Some Personal History:

Cathy was born and raised into the real estate industry– her father Gerry Berkhout was also a Realtor with a local career dating back to the 1960’s.

We met in high school when we were both members of the rowing crew at Notre Dame College School in Welland.

John is a graduate of the McMaster University Physical Education Program – Cathy is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. We have both expanded our professional knowledge to become registered Real Estate Brokers.

Professional Achievements:

We are honoured to have been recognized with top level production awards throughout our career including being Members of the Remax Hall of Fame.

We have served in many capacities to promote professionalism in our industry. John is a past president of the former Welland District Real Estate Board (now the Niagara Association of Realtors),  Cathy is a past Director and advocates on a variety community issues.

in 2016, Women in Niagara (WIN) Council, a business council of the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce (GNCC) presented Cathy with the Community Spirit Award recognizing her work as Co-Founder of the myNiagara Online Community Platform. The WIBAs are an annual event, honouring women from around Niagara whose contributions to the community go above and beyond the call of duty.

In our Free Time:

We love to cook great meals together whether it’s a gourmet dinner for the two of us or a dinner party for friends and family we are Foodies through and through. We do our best to stay ahead of the weeds in our many perennial gardens and can often be found walking the rural roads of Pelham or hiking Niagara trails.

Bill Berkhout, Broker

Bill is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. He was first licensed as a Realtor in 1975 and has been a licensed broker since 1980.

Bill is a charter member of the ICI Land Accreditation of the Canadian Real Estate Association; a member of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame; a member of Commercial specialists, RE/MAX Ontario-Atlantic Canada and past president of the former Welland District Real Estate Board (now the Niagara Association of Realtors). He is also recognized as an “expert witness” in the Ontario legal system.

Bill has excellent experience in land development, multi-family properties, commercial/industrial property and single family residential.

Bill is a life-long resident of Niagara and as such is very capable of serving your real estate needs.
